Hello my name is West Thompson. I was born in Fallon, Nevada in 2013. I started wrestling at age four with the Yerington Lions Club. I really enjoyed rolling around and being part of a team. The Lions taught me a lot of the fundamental skills and sportsmanship to be successful in wrestling. We traveled to local SWA events where I learned that I loved to compete. In 2019, we started to travel more, and I was able to go to some great wrestling camps with my older brother. The Montana Intensive Wresting Camp in Kalispell, Montana was my favorite. During that time, I wrestled with Nevada Elite and was offered some great opportunities, which included being able to compete on some Nevada Dual Teams.
 
I currently wrestle for Silver State Wrestling Academy with Coach Josh Nolan. Coach Nolan has given me some great tools for my toolbox and continues to push me to become a great and smart wrestler. This has been a great year of wrestling, and I have met lots of new friends from both the northern and the southern regions of Nevada. My others hobbies include playing football, academics, camping, art and riding in the side-by-side with my family.

As West’s parents, he is like no other kid his age. He has the drive and work ethic that will lead him to great successes. We are so proud of his hard work and dedication to become the best he can be.
