I am Satoshi Davis, a dedicated wrestler at Chase Pami’s Gold Rush Wrestling Academy, and I recently completed my sophomore year at SLAM! Nevada High School. For me, wrestling is more than a sport—it is a lifestyle that has profoundly shaped my discipline, resilience, and drive to succeed both on the mat and in the classroom.

During my sophomore season, I became a two-time 5A Nevada State Champion. I also helped SLAM secure its fifth consecutive state title, which set a state record with nine individual championships. Demonstrating my commitment to academic excellence, I earned the highest GPA on my team with a 4.0.

Some of my favorite moments from the past season include winning another state title, placing 3rd at the Powerade tournament in Pennsylvania, and placing at the Reno Tournament of Champions (TOC) and Doc B. Most recently, at the 2026 U.S. Open in Las Vegas, I took 2nd place in the 110kg U17 Freestyle bracket. This historic finish is the highest placement ever for an athlete from Nevada in U17 Freestyle. Although I narrowly missed making the U.S.A. World Team, I view the experience as motivation and fuel for my upcoming tournaments.

My approach is defined by resilience and an unwavering commitment to excellence. I never settle for average, viewing every setback, tough loss, or bad practice as an opportunity to immediately jump back up and keep fighting, ensuring that a challenge never holds me back from accomplishing my goals.

This summer, my goals include:
Winning a Fargo Freestyle title in the Junior division.
Earning a top-3 finish at the Super 32 and Ironman tournaments.
Improving upon my previous results at Powerade, Doc B, and Reno T.O.C.

I am deeply grateful to my coaches—Chase Pami, Jake Rollans, Rodger Berlin, A.J., Ed Sorgani, Oren Dramen, Mike Abrams, and Iridium Sports Agency—whose mentorship has been instrumental in my growth. For me, success is earned through grit, preparation, and heart, and I am excited to bring that same energy and commitment to the next level of competition.
