My name is Satoshi Davis, and I’m a dedicated wrestler at Chase Pami’s Gold Rush Wrestling Academy and SLAM! Nevada High School, entering my sophomore year. Wrestling is more than a sport to me—it’s a lifestyle that has shaped my discipline, resilience, and drive to succeed both on the mat and in the classroom.

As a freshman, I became a 5A Nevada State Champion and helped SLAM secure its fourth consecutive state title, setting a state record with eight individual championships. I earned the highest GPA on my team with a 3.86, demonstrating my commitment to academic excellence alongside athletic achievement.

One of the most defining moments of my wrestling career came at the 2025 U.S. Marine Corps Junior and 16U Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota. I won the 16U 215-pound Freestyle National Title, becoming the first Fargo freestyle champion in Gold Rush Wrestling Academy history and the first Nevada 16U freestyle champion since 2000. This victory was especially meaningful because the previous year I went 2-2 in freestyle and couldn’t compete in Greco due to injury. That setback fueled my determination. I committed to extra lifts, practices, cardio, and mental preparation through visualization and self-belief. I reminded myself daily that no one works harder than I do. At Fargo, I faced tough matches, but I stayed composed and trusted my preparation. The result was a national title that marked a major milestone in my journey.

I also placed 7th in Greco at Fargo, earning Double All-American honors. These achievements reflect not only my physical preparation but also my mental toughness and ability to perform under pressure.

My goals moving forward include winning another state title and placing at top-tier national tournaments such as Reno TOC, Powerade, Super 32, Ironman, and Doc B. Ultimately, I aspire to earn a spot on the U17 U.S.A. World Team in freestyle wrestling.

I’m deeply grateful to my coaches—Chase Pami, Jake Rollans, Rodger Berlin, A.J., Ed Sorgani, Oren Dramen, Mike Abrams, and Antonio Saldate—whose mentorship has been instrumental in my growth. Wrestling has taught me that success is earned through grit, preparation, and heart. I’m excited to bring that same energy and commitment to the next level of competition.
