| My name is Samuel Moore. I am 16 years old and a Junior at Las Vegas High School. I started wrestling in my Freshman year. My football coach told me it would improve my athletic abilities, so I went for it. I did not expect to fall in love with wrestling, but I did. Despite losing most of my matches during my freshman year, I enjoyed competing, practicing, conditioning, and being a part of the wresting team for my school. |

One of my first wins came at the Pine View Invitational in January 2020. I won 3rd place in the hard luck match for my weight in JV. Receiving the medal gave me the boost I needed to keep improving in the sport. I ended the season with 8 wins in JV & Varsity. Unfortunately, I did not complete the season because of the pandemic. The 2020-21 season was also canceled. For the 2021-2022 season I am currently 9-2. In December 2020, I took 3rd place at the Las Vegas Holiday Classic in the Heavy-Weight Division. I am currently ranked #2 by Rokfin for Nevada. One of my goals it to win a First-Place medal. I want to make my parents and coaches proud of me. Which is why I will continue to be positive role model and maintain good grades. |

When I’m not wrestling, I play football. I have played football since the age of 5. During my Freshman year I was moved up to JV, and then Varsity. I am currently on the Varsity Football Team; I play offense and defense, as needed. My main starting position is center on Offense, and I am the nose guard on Defense. I was named 2nd Team All-Conference as a Center. I am most proud of being on the Varsity Football Team as a Freshman. |

| I am also part of the Marching Band at LVHS. I am in my third year, and I am so thankful to be given a chance to play music. Being part of all these school activities has taught me how to be a part of a different types of teams, and that being a positive role-model doesn’t come from wins or tackles; it comes from how you conduct yourself and how you treat others. |
