| Hello, my name is Kage Mir. I am a current student at Bishop Gorman High School. I am in my senior year at Gorman. I started my wrestling career at a young age due to my father being a professional fighter; however, I did not start competing until 5th grade. I had always been into sports and mainly found a liking to football. Football was my main sport up until my sophomore year of high school when I fell in love with wrestling. Football was my first passion, and I really thought it was my future. This was until my first year wrestling at Bishop Gorman. |

| I had wrestled for a couple of years by this time but never took it seriously. I always wrestled because I felt like I had to. I went into my freshman year of wrestling with a different mindset. I figured I might as well actually try and see for myself how I really liked it. I ended up winning a State Title that year and fell in love with it. I still stuck with football as I had played it for so long, but I felt like I was losing passion for it. I felt like quitting and putting all my effort into wrestling because that was my true passion. |

| I did not go through with that and just kept with it. I ended up winning State for both Football and Wrestling again my sophomore year. Going into my junior year, I really wanted to fully commit to wrestling, but people convinced me to keep playing football, and on the first play of the first game, I blew out my shoulder. I tried to get healed as fast as I could, but I suffered from it the entire wrestling season and came up short at the State Tournament. That is not an excuse at all and now I am looking to succeed once again. |

I am officially fully committed to wrestling. Since, I have made All American at the National High School Tournament and committed to Lander University. This year is looking very promising and I am ready to walk whatever path I am given with full confidence. I am very thankful to my coach, family, friends, and for the opportunity to wrestle. |
