JT’s wrestling journey began at age five with Nevada Elite Wrestling in Reno, Nevada. While he enjoyed competing in baseball, football, and wrestling throughout elementary school, by middle school he chose to commit fully to wrestling, embracing the discipline, sacrifice, and work ethic required for elite competition.

That dedication has resulted in an impressive list of achievements. JT is a multiple-time State Champion, a multiple Triple Crown titleholder, a Reno Rumble champion, and the Western States Freestyle Runner-Up. Most recently, he placed 3rd at the California World Challenge and competed in the Columbus Day Duals in Pennsylvania for the third consecutive year. At just 12 years old, he earned qualification for the prestigious Super 32, highlighting his ability to compete among the country’s best young wrestlers.

JT’s commitment to excellence has taken him to competitive stages across the United States, including the Super 32 in North Carolina. For the past three years, he has been invited to compete with elite eastern wrestling clubs in Pennsylvania as a member of their dual teams. He has also gained valuable experience competing alongside McQueen High School wrestlers in dual events and summer training camps. His upcoming schedule includes major tournaments such as the Freakshow Tournament in Las Vegas, the Turkey Tussle in Utah, and Middle School Nationals in Ohio.

Beyond competing, JT serves the wrestling community as a premier-level referee for the local SWA, recognized for his professionalism, leadership, and deep understanding of the sport. One of his goals this season is to earn a team captain position while mentoring younger athletes.

Outside of athletics, JT enjoys the outdoors. An avid hunter, he harvested his second antelope this year and eagerly anticipates winter bird season. Family plays a central role in his life; his relatives travel across the country to support him, turning wrestling trips into shared family adventures

JT’s success extends into the classroom, where he maintains a 3.5 GPA, demonstrating the same dedication to his studies as he does to athletics. Furthermore, his faith is a cornerstone of his life, supported by his active participation in the Youth Group at Life Church.

With a relentless work ethic, unwavering faith, strong family backing, and a growing list of national accomplishments, JT continues to establish himself as one of the region’s premier young wrestlers.
