My names is Jasmine Morales and I am 13 years old. I am starting my Freshman year this fall at McQueen High School in Reno, Nevada. When I was 5 years old, I was in ballet, but it was short lived. After ballet I was not really into any sports until I became interested in wrestling, because I watched my brother wrestle all throughout middle school and high school. Also, as funny as it sounds, I liked watching WWE, and I knew I wanted to wrestle. I started my wrestling journey in 6th grade along with one of my younger sisters. At first, I did not take it seriously and then Covid started, so I stopped going to wrestling practice. Then in 7th grade I started wrestling again, but this time I took it more seriously because I pretty much hit the ground running and wrestled at different tournaments, and I love how competitive wrestling is. When I first started wrestling, I was wrestling boys, and shortly after I would double-bracket and wrestle with both boys and girls. |

At the 2022 State Championship I placed 1st in both Freestyle and Folkstyle. At the High Desert Challenge I placed 1st in both Freestyle and Folkstyle. At both Crush Cancer, and at Cradle for the Cure, I also place 1st. Recently, I was invited to the Turf Wars Nevada Team, and I went 3-0. In WOW I placed 4th, and at Western States I placed 2nd in Freestyle. |

My coaches, who have been supportive at Nevada Elite and Billinghurst Middle School are: Coaches Sully, Mumm, Armstrong, Ludwig, and Gonzales. I am thankful to them for having taught me everything I know, and pushing me to challenge myself and become a better wrestler. I am thankful to my parents for taking me to practice, believing in me, and for all their time and effort. |

I am excited for what the future holds for me in my wrestling career. My hopes are to continue wrestling in college and go to the Olympics. I would also like to have my own wrestling club one day. Lastly, I hope to inspire my little sisters, as my brother inspired me. |
