Hello, my name is Jacob, and I am a seven year old 1st grader at Gordon McCaw Elementary School in Henderson, NV. I fell in love with wrestling at the young age of three, almost four, watching my big brother Samson wrestle in his first season. I used to sit mat side begging to wrestle and jumping at every opportunity the coaches gave me to participate.

I wrestle at a local club here in Las Vegas called Aniciete Training Club or ATC. I had to sit out my brother’s first season because I had just turned four and I was too young to compete, but I started learning technique, drills, and wrestling games to prepare me for my first season the following year. I started my first season in November of 2022 and hopped right into the competition season. I practice four+ days a week and compete locally in SNWA (Southern Nevada Wrestling Association) tournaments every weekend November through March

I also travel year round for USA and RMN National Tournaments. I just competed in my third USAW National Tournament, the Beehive Brawl, in Utah and won the Championship Belt! Currently, my brother and I have been getting ready to compete in our first World of Wrestling Nationals in Tulsa, and have worked hard to prepare for it. We went to Tulsa this past week, and I won the National Championship and Big Eagle! I may be young, but I am dedicated and don’t mind the hard work.

I am a State Champion, a National Champion and an All-American, and someday I would like to be an Olympic Champion. We practice four+ days a week year round, but in the competitive off season we participate in all types of sports. In addition to wrestling, we swim year round at an Indoor Swim School, and in the off season have played T-ball, soccer, basketball, flag football, and diving. I also love school and maintain A/B honor roll.

I’d like to thank my mom and dad, Tierra and Jake, for their daily commitment to our lives and dreams. Getting us to practice, supporting me every weekend, and giving me the opportunity to do what I love. I want to thank my Uncle Mason for finding ATC and getting us into the sport of wrestling. None of what we do is possible without you!

I’d like to thank my coaches, Nap, Val, Alex, and Eddy for their hard work, dedication, encouragement, and belief in me, and I’d also like to thank my competitors, partners, and teammates who are always in my corner cheering me on and pushing me to do better! My favorite thing about wrestling is the community of constant support.
