Izzy is 10 years old and started wrestling at the age of 4, and has been on the mat since before he could talk. He is a 3rd generation Las Vegas Native wrestler–in our family. In his first two years of wrestling he was with the Las Vegas Jr Wild Cats under his Uncle-Coach Nathan Garcia and Coach Jason Law. Izzy took to the sport right away and has been running with it ever since.

From there he joined Slam Wrestling Club, now known as Pride Wrestling. He has been wrestling under Coach Richie Rios and Coach Jose Maestas. He is currently a 4x Southern NV Youth Folkstyle Regional Champ, a 4x Southern NV Youth Freestyle Regional Champ, and a 2x Southern NV Youth Greco Regional Champ. He is also a 4x NV Youth Folkstyle State Champ, a 4x NV Youth Freestyle State Champ, and this year he went up a weight class for Greco and finished as the NV Youth Greco State Runner-up.

This year at State he went 7-1 for his combined matches in all three styles. He allowed no points to be scored on him, until he got pinned in the Greco finals. One of his goals is to become a Fargo Champ in both styles, and he wants to become an Olympian and wrestle on the World Stage. The last two generations of our family have had 2 High School State Champions in Las Vegas. If Izzy becomes a High School State Champion, he would become the 3rd generation in our family with a State Title, which if I am correct, is an accolade no one holds in the State of Nevada. He said after he’s done with wrestling he would like to coach wrestling for a living.
