I was born January 9th, 2003, in Lodi California and moved to Reno, Nevada when I was about 3 years old, along with my older brother that is 5 years older and little sister who is 1 ½ years younger. Growing up I was always interested in sports like football, but I was never involved physically except for 1 year. It wasn’t until my 8th grade year that my good friend Trey convinced me to try out for the wrestling team with him. Little did I know, making that decision would open up so many opportunities for me.

My first year of wrestling was very challenging, more mentally, than physically. Going into competition I lost all but one match the entire season. But despite that, I still wanted to get better and wanted more mat time. Freshman and Sophomore year of high school I considered myself a football player who also wrestled, but after getting more involved with the wrestling team and finding myself motivated to get better, I quit the football team to focus on wrestling. I believe this was one of the best decisions I could have made.

Soon after quitting the football team, I saw my skill level shoot up dramatically as well as my good friend and practice partner Marco’s too. I went to more offseason tournaments with the team, and while there I got to know my girlfriend of 2 years now. My Junior season I saw my improvements in action, winning my first Varsity tournaments and qualifying for the State tournament– making it to the blood rounds.

After the season I did not let up on the gas, and I kept working in the off season to become better and better. Working with Josh Nolan during the Corona Virus helped me get ahead and onto another level of wrestling. Placing at tournaments in the Western Region of the United States and qualifying for Fargo. I owe a huge thank you to Coach Klapp and Coach Nolan for spending extra time with me whenever they could

At the end of my high school career, I committed to St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa to wrestle under Coach Bo Bettinson in a brand new program. That is where I am currently. It’s been a little tough out here, but it is nothing I can’t handle. I look forward to my first competition coming up, and I can’t wait to see what the competition at the college level is all about.
