My name is Chloe-Joy Maile-Allesandra Mead. I’m 13 years old and I attend Lied Stem Academy. My ethnicity is Hawaiian, Chinese, Filipino, and German. I was born and raised here in Las Vegas, Nevada. Yes, I’m a 100% pure Battle Born kid. I played and enjoyed a lot of sports but nothing compares to Wrestling. I started wrestling at age 10 with my brother Brysen at Centennial High School Youth Program with Coach Wike, Coach Mike and Coach Nate. There, they taught me the basics and fundamentals of wresting. Without their help, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today.

In 2019, I joined Pistol Wrestling Club with Coach Pete Martin. There I started to evolve my wrestling game and made the transition from true beginner. I’m currently wrestling for Gold Rush Wrestling Club with Coach Chase Pami, who helped me take my wrestling to a whole new level. With his help, I was able to win back to back RMN Events in Arizona before traveling to Texas, where I was also able to win a USA Wrestling’s Woman National Championship. I love being on the mat and competing. This sport tests my ability to play both offense and defense. It also makes me face my toughest opponent, which is myself. Wrestling makes me strive for the best. I know wrestling will give me many opportunities as a Student Athlete. Wrestling to me is not just a sport, it is my passion for life.

Chloé-Joy (Maile) is a competitive kid who wants to try out every sport she can. Chloé did multiple sports at a young age. She started Taekwondo at age 6 and progressed through the ranks where she became a Black Belt at age 10. In 2018, she Became UWTA National Champion. Looking to help with Taekwondo, we found our way into Muay-Thai. Just so happens that the place also offered Jujitsu.

Once she discovered what grappling was all about, she hasn’t looked back. Looking to add another dimension to her Jujitsu game, she started practicing Judo and Wrestling. In 2019, we moved to Gracie Humaita North under Professor Ronda Andrews. Under her teachings, Chloe has developed and matured both as a competitor and a young women. In 2019, she won IBJJF International Kids Championships, here in Las Vegas. She also played soccer and had made the swim team before the pandemic hit us all. A normal day for her, consists of swimming laps in the early morning before school, hitting the weights at home or biking while on lunch from school, and after school you can find her at wrestling or Jujitsu practice. Chloe is constantly pushing herself on and off the mat trying to be the best version of herself she can be.
