Hi, my name is Raylynn Woods. I am 15 years old and a Freshman at Virgin Valley High School in Mesquite, NV. When I’m not wrestling I also play softball. I have wrestled since I could walk, and I can’t imagine my life without it.

Wrestling has taught me many lessons, and not just ones on the mat. I truly wouldn’t be the person I am today without it, and I am so thankful for it. Wrestling has taught me to work hard for the things I want to achieve, be comfortable with the uncomfortable, self discipline, patience, responsibility, integrity, and much more.

Wrestling is a tough sport, but it really is worth it! I have also made great friendships through this sport and have had amazing opportunities. I would like to thank my coaches Skyler Woods, Scott Woods, Ty Smith, and Broc Smith. Some of my accomplishments include: 5th at Freakshow, Rumble in Reno Champion, Third at Salt Lake Slam, Champion at the Clash in Bullhead, and Champion at the Beehive Brawl.

I would also like to thank my family and teammates because without them I wouldn’t be where I am today. They push me to be my best and test my limits, and I wouldn’t have these great opportunities to do what I love without them. I one day hope to wrestle in college and persue my career. I hope that I can make a World Team and All American at Fargo in these next years I have in high school.
