Hi, my name is Noelani Lutz. I am 15 years old, and I’ve been wrestling for three and a half years. I am currently a Sophomore at Slam Academy. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. I was introduced into the sport of wrestling by my father.

Since I was little I was always filled with energy and athleticism. Growing up I was the youngest in the family, always fighting with my brother. So, between the ages of 7 and 10, my father decided to expose me to the sport of MMA. I would train seven days a week, five days a week in Jiu Jitsu and Grappling, and on weekends doing private lessons and kickboxing classes. Competitions were never difficult for me, and many of my friends played soccer. So I took a break and did two seasons, but it just wasn’t the right fit for me. I wanted to resume my regular routine, but my dad forced me to join wrestling instead. It was difficult to adjust at first, but I eventually got the hang of it. Since then, I’ve accomplished far more than I could have imagined.

In 8th grade I was a Triple Crown at Western States in the High
School Division. All-American’d at the U14 and U15 World Team Trials. Freshman year I placed 2nd at State. Just a few weeks ago I made it to the Semis at Fargo, and placed 5th. I Lost my first round at the US Open(High School showcase) against my teammate, but I wrestled back for 8th. I took 1st at Ayala Women’s Wrestling Invitation. My Freshman High School Record was 31-5.

I am grateful for the sport of wrestling because it teaches discipline, perseverance, and the value of hard work. I’m grateful for the opportunity it has given me to form lifetime friendships, travel the world, and really discover myself as an individual.

Some of my accomplishments include: 5x All American, 2023 Fargo placer (5th), High School Showcase (8th), U15 World Team trials (8th & 5th), U14 World Team Trials (5th), 2023 NIAA All Girls State Championships (2nd), Ayala Women’s Wrestling Invitation (1st), Norco Rodeo Girls Wrestling Challenge (1st), Triple Crowned at Western States and 2021 Freak Show Champ

Shoutout to coaches- Bryce Harley, Justin Jaynes, and Rocky Cantu from Xtreme Couture. Chase Pami, Ed Sorgani, Jake Rollans, and Max Rohskopf from Gold Rush Wrestling. Bill Sullivan, Gigi Abramson, Zachery Hocker and David Mackey from Slam Academy. My future aspirations are to continue my wrestling career in college, and pursue a career in Physical Therapy. I want to travel the world after college and help those in need.
