Being the oldest comes with a lot of responsibility. Being someone to count on can be very difficult, but being a great older brother is one of the most important jobs life can throw at a young man. Tobey Lyle Forman embodies the term older brother as he has two younger brothers that look up to him on the daily.

He has a soft heart with a strong disposition. His zest for life and enthusiasm for the outdoors keeps him in constant motion. If you ask Tobey what the most important thing in life is, he’ll tell you it’s his family. That’s a statement that makes a father proud. He continues to learn, grow and carry on our family traditions.

Our family loves to hunt and fish. It’s a significant accomplishment to climb the mountain, track a big game animal down, make a great shot, and pack it all out. Tobey has bagged three Mule Deer and two Pronghorn as a youth hunter. Tobey is the best fisherman I know. He can drop a line anywhere and come out with a fish on the other end. I think if he had his choice, he would fish over everything else.

Tobey is very smart and has a solid work ethic which shows up in his schooling with a current GPA of 3.87. Tobey is a three-sport Varsity athlete; Wrestling, Cross Country, and Track. We are so proud of Tobey and his athletic and academic endeavors. His continued sacrifice, commitment to diet, and hard work in practice give him an edge and will help him with anything he chooses to do later in life.

This year’s wrestling season was impressive as Tobey rattled off 33 falls with a record of 50-6, culminating in his first State Title as the 2023 5A High School State Champ at 106 lbs. He was named the 2023 Lower-Weight Wrestler of the Year. Tobey is a 2x Northern Regional High School Champion. In 2022 he grabbed his 1st High School All-American at Reno Worlds and was the 5A 106lb Runner-Up. Tobey has several Youth State Championships in Folkstyle and Freestyle. Tobey’s Cross-Country team won back-to-back Regional Titles in 2022 and 2023.

The sky is the limit for this young man, and I know he will be successful. Mom and Dad are super proud of your success on and off the mat. We love you so much and are here to help you with anything you need.
